Basics of Business Ownership

Basics of Business Ownership  is a 6 - week entrepeneurial training course covering the fundamentals of owning your own business. This program will provide you with skills you will need as an entrepeneur, with a special emphasis on business planning. The program is designed for start-up or existing business owners who want to improve skills such as:

  • Marketing
  • Cash Flow Analysis
  • Bookkeeping and Accounting
  • Legal and Tax Issues
  • Compiling a Business Plan
  • Budgeting and Financing
  • Pitfalls and Business Hints

A Registration Form for Basics of Business Ownership can be obtained by stopping by or calling the Business Development Centre. Completed forms can be mailed or brought to the Centre, with your $75.00 registration fee to reserve your seat in the class. Please indicate which class session you wish to attend. You may also call (434) 582-6100 for more information. A schedule of upcoming classes is provided below. Classes meet from 7 to 9 pm, except for the first night of each session, which will start at 6:30 pm to allow for orientation
